Tesla hints at an October 1 unveiling for the second-generation Roadster, reviving interest in its futuristic electric sports car and possible SpaceX-linked features.

Tesla Sets October 1 Reveal for Second-Generation Roadster

Tesla has signaled that its long-awaited second-generation Roadster may finally make its public debut on October 1. The company shared a simple "Go for launch" message alongside a "10.01" graphic, pointing to the expected unveiling date.

The teaser also appears to reference the optional cold gas thrusters long associated with the model's futuristic concept. Those features have been linked to Tesla CEO Elon Musk and the broader innovation ecosystem around SpaceX, adding to the car's high-tech appeal.

Originally introduced in 2017, the next-generation Roadster has been delayed several times, turning it into one of Tesla's most anticipated projects. Reports have suggested the company may be preparing a redesigned version rather than the original concept shown years ago.

Even with a reveal, production is expected to follow later, with Musk previously indicating a timeline of roughly 12 to 18 months after the presentation. If the launch unfolds as expected, the Roadster could become a new benchmark for electric performance and design in the years ahead.
