Tesla Posts Strong Second-Quarter Delivery Growth

Tesla reported a record second-quarter delivery surge, topping 480,000 vehicles as lower-priced models and global expansion helped boost EV momentum.

Tesla reported a sharp rise in second-quarter deliveries, moving more than 480,000 vehicles and adding over 120,000 units compared with the first quarter. The result signals renewed momentum for the electric vehicle maker even as the broader U.S. market remains uneven.

According to the company's Thursday update, Tesla produced 451,758 vehicles in the quarter. Of that total, 442,936 were Model 3 sedans and Model Y SUVs. Deliveries reached 467,762 for those models, while 12,364 vehicles fell into the "other models" category, including the Cybertruck and the final versions of the Model S and Model X.

The quarter marked Tesla's strongest second-quarter performance on record by raw delivery volume and came in above market expectations. It was also the company's best overall sales quarter since the third quarter of 2025, when deliveries approached 500,000 worldwide.

While Tesla still faces the challenge of reversing a longer-term sales slowdown, the latest numbers suggest the company is gaining traction through international expansion and more affordable versions of key models. That strategy may help shape the next phase of the global EV market.
