Superblue has entered India for the first time with Second Nature, a nine-work immersive exhibition now on view at Mumbai's Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Presented in the venue's four-story Art House, the show runs through January 10, 2027.
Curated by Superblue cofounder and CEO Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst with head of curatorial Margot Mottaz, the exhibition brings together large-scale works by teamLab, A.A.Murakami, Simon Heijdens and Es Devlin. The installations explore the shifting relationship between people, technology and the natural world, while also touching on digital identity, live data and time.
Unlike Superblue's permanent spaces in Miami and London, this project is a collaboration with an existing institution. Dent-Brocklehurst said the idea began after she visited NMACC and saw strong potential for an exhibition that could connect with Indian audiences without losing its layered artistic ambition.
Several works have been adapted for the Mumbai setting. Es Devlin's Screenshare uses 365 sketchbooks from 25 years of practice, while teamLab reinterprets an 18th-century image through a luminous installation. A.A.Murakami's New Spring adds an atmospheric dimension with mist-like blossoms that respond to movement.
The exhibition also reflects a broader shift in experiential art: more flexible partnerships, more international exchange, and more audience-centered formats. As immersive culture expands across major creative hubs, collaborations like this may help shape a more connected future for art worldwide.
