Spotify Launches Reserved Ticket Access for Top Music Fans

Spotify launches Reserved by Spotify, giving top fans early access to concert tickets and linking streaming activity with live music experiences.

Spotify has begun rolling out Reserved by Spotify, a new ticketing feature designed to give top listeners early access to live shows. The system identifies eligible superfans and holds two tickets for them before public sales begin.

The first rollout is available in the U.S. for Premium subscribers aged 18 and over. Artist Role Model is the initial partner for the program, and selected fans will start receiving notifications on June 23 ahead of the general sale.

For now, the feature is limited to concerts at Live Nation venues, with ticket purchases handled through Ticketmaster. Spotify says it plans to expand the program over time to include more partners, smaller venues, and international audiences.

To determine eligibility, Spotify uses signals such as streaming activity, shares, and in-app engagement. The company also says it checks for unusual behavior to keep the process focused on genuine fans, while location data helps match offers to people near the show.

Eligible users will see a personalized offer on their Spotify Home screen, where they can review tour dates, set reminders, and buy tickets during a limited reservation window. Spotify notes that demand may still exceed supply, but the feature is designed to make live music access more personal and fan-centered. In the future, this model could help reshape how streaming platforms connect digital listening with real-world experiences.
