Apple is bringing its upgraded Siri AI experience to the Apple Watch through the watchOS 27 beta, extending the company's new assistant beyond iPhone, iPad, and Mac. With a compatible watch and an Apple Intelligence-ready iPhone, users can now make quick requests from their wrist, ask contextual questions, and trigger actions inside supported apps.
The new setup is designed for everyday convenience. Users can ask Siri to share details such as a flight number, play a specific song, or surface information stored across their Apple devices, including recent photos or saved access codes. A dedicated Siri app also lets people review earlier conversations and continue them on another Apple device.
How to access the beta
To try the feature early, users need to join the Apple Beta Program, install the iOS 27 public beta on a compatible iPhone, and then enable the watchOS 27 public beta from the Watch app. Apple notes that Siri AI requires both supported hardware and a waitlist sign-up before activation.
Compatibility is limited to newer devices, generally including iPhone 15 Pro or later, plus Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2, or newer models. Apple also highlights an important detail: once the watchOS 27 beta is installed, it cannot be downgraded until the beta cycle ends.
Early impressions suggest the wrist-based assistant could become a practical tool for fast, on-the-move interactions. As Apple continues refining its AI ecosystem, the Apple Watch may evolve into a more capable personal companion for daily digital tasks.
