Samsung's S85F OLED TV is drawing attention with a sharp new price cut, making premium OLED viewing more accessible in multiple screen sizes. The 55-inch model is now listed at $897.99, while the 65-inch version has dropped to $1,077.95. The 77-inch option is also available at a reduced price of $1,399.95.
OLED technology remains a standout for home entertainment because each pixel can dim or switch off independently, delivering deep blacks and strong contrast. That gives the S85F a clear visual edge for movies, series, and cinematic gaming setups.
While Samsung has positioned this model as a more affordable OLED, the trade-offs are part of the formula: brightness and speaker performance are more modest, and Dolby Vision support is absent. Even so, the panel still offers vivid color, responsive motion, and a feature set that appeals to gamers.
For gaming, the TV includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, 4K 120Hz support, AMD FreeSync Premium, Nvidia G-Sync, ALLM, and HDR10+ Gaming. Samsung's Gaming Hub also expands access to cloud gaming apps, while the reported 9.4ms input lag supports fast-paced play.
Released in September 2025, the S85F has already seen a notable shift in value, showing how quickly advanced display technology can become more widely attainable. This kind of pricing trend may help OLED screens move from premium status into the mainstream future of home entertainment.
