SambaNova Secures $1 Billion to Scale Next-Gen AI Inference

SambaNova raised $1 billion at an $11 billion valuation, expanding its AI chip ambitions with Intel ties, JPMorganChase adoption, and SN50 momentum.

AI chip developer SambaNova Systems has completed a $1 billion first close in its Series F round, lifting its valuation to $11 billion. The round was led by General Atlantic, with additional investors expected to join in the next close.

CEO and co-founder Rodrigo Liang said the company is still attracting strong interest as demand for advanced AI infrastructure accelerates. While he did not rule out future strategic options, he pointed to continued growth and a path that could eventually lead to a public listing.

The new funding arrives about five months after SambaNova introduced its SN50 chip and followed a $350 million Series E round earlier in the year. The company has also deepened its collaboration with Intel, building and bringing products to market together around AI inference systems.

At the same time, JPMorganChase has selected SambaNova as an inference-infrastructure partner, using its SN40L and SN50 systems for secure, on-premises AI workloads. Liang said this reflects a broader shift as large institutions look for more private and flexible computing environments.

SambaNova plans to use the capital to expand operations and reinforce its supply chain as orders grow. The company says its architecture is designed for premium inference, helping run very large models efficiently on a single rack. With customers across enterprise, cloud, and sovereign infrastructure segments, the company is positioning itself for the next phase of AI deployment. This momentum may help shape a future where specialized AI hardware becomes a core layer of digital infrastructure.
