Revolutionary Autofill Feature for Credit Cards on iPhone

Discover the new autofill feature in iOS 26 that simplifies credit card transactions on iPhone, enhancing your shopping experience across apps and browsers.

With the latest iOS 26 update, iPhone users can now enjoy a remarkable feature that enables the autofill of credit card information stored in Apple Wallet across various applications and web browsers. This functionality eliminates the hassle of manually entering payment details each time you make a purchase on your device. While utilizing a password manager is highly recommended, AutoFill through Apple Wallet provides a seamless alternative, especially for those whose password management plans may not support payment card storage.

Previously available in Safari, the AutoFill feature for credit cards is now integrated system-wide, managed conveniently via Apple Wallet.

Setting Up and Utilizing AutoFill in Apple Wallet

To begin, you must add your payment cards to the dedicated autofill list within Apple Wallet. Start by tapping the three dots in the upper-right corner and selecting AutoFill. You can then choose Add Card to manually enter your card details or utilize the camera scanning feature. The security code is optional, allowing you to either store it in Apple Wallet AutoFill or enter it for each transaction.

To use the autofill feature for your saved credit cards, simply tap on any form field to reveal the Paste/AutoFill option. Select AutoFill > Credit Card, authenticate using Face ID or Touch ID, and choose the card you wish to use. Note that you will need to repeat this process for each field, as Apple Wallet does not autofill the entire form at once.
