Ethan Noblesala, 33, from New York City, transformed his routine through gradual changes that led to a remarkable 100-pound weight loss in 18 months. After years of gaining weight during the pandemic, he realized he needed a new approach when he could no longer bend down to tie his shoes and later learned he had prediabetes.
Small Shifts, Big Momentum
Instead of chasing extreme changes, Noblesala focused on practical habits: drinking water first thing in the morning, reducing portions, cooking more meals at home, and choosing lower-calorie, high-protein foods. He also swapped heavier pasta dishes for lighter alternatives and steadily cut back on takeout.
Pickleball Became the Turning Point
The biggest boost came when his uncle introduced him to pickleball. What began as a fun way to move quickly became a social fitness routine that kept him consistent. He joined indoor courts at Life Time, added strength training three times a week, and later expanded into calisthenics and running.
That steady progress carried him far beyond his original goal. Noblesala eventually completed the New York City Marathon and now weighs about 145 pounds, while continuing to build muscle and pursue new performance targets.
Beyond physical change, the routine helped him create structure during difficult personal moments and gave him a healthier way to stay connected with others. He has also co-founded WeFit Labs, a platform built around community-based fitness challenges.
His journey shows how consistency, movement, and social motivation can turn everyday habits into lasting transformation, shaping a future where wellness feels more connected, accessible, and sustainable.
