Nothing Launches Its First Retail Store in India

Nothing, the innovative hardware brand supported by Tiger Global, is set to unveil its inaugural retail store in India, marking a significant milestone in its expansion. The new outlet will be located in Bengaluru, a city known for housing a substantial portion of Nothing's user base in the country.

This two-story establishment will showcase a variety of Nothing's products alongside other exciting projects. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase hardware and exclusive merchandise, with options for customizing select items.

Carl Pei, the co-founder and CEO of Nothing, expressed the vision behind the store: "We aimed to create an engaging environment inspired by various elements associated with our brand. For example, we will feature a production line where customers can see how products are made, along with machines that test features like USB ports and water resistance. Our goal is to blend these experiences into one cohesive space."

The store will not only highlight offerings from Nothing but also from CMF, its budget-friendly brand, which was established last year. CMF operates out of India and collaborates with local ODM partner, Optiemus.

Pei elaborated on the distinct positioning of both brands, noting that they cater to different market segments with varied pricing strategies. "Nothing appeals to a niche audience with premium pricing, while CMF targets a broader market. Our products are thoughtfully designed, not just typical rebranded items found at this price point," he stated.

According to analyst firm IDC, India has emerged as Nothing's strongest market, boasting over 2% market share in smartphones. The brand was recognized as the fastest-growing smartphone vendor in the country during Q2 2025, achieving an impressive 85% year-over-year growth in shipments.

Other tech giants are also establishing their presence in India through retail. For instance, Apple is preparing to launch its sixth store in Borivali, Mumbai, this month.

This marks the first Nothing store outside of its London headquarters, with plans for additional locations in Tokyo and New York, though specific opening dates have yet to be announced.

Last year, Nothing secured $200 million in Series C funding, reaching a valuation of $1.3 billion, led by Tiger Global and supported by investors such as GV, Highland Europe, EQT, Latitude, I2BF, and Tapestry. To date, the company has raised a total of $450 million.
