Preventive healthcare is increasingly moving toward a more connected, data-led experience. Swedish health technology company Neko Health has opened its first US location in New York, offering a detailed health assessment designed to combine imaging, blood analysis and physician guidance in a single visit.
The approximately one-hour scan uses 2D, 3D and thermal imaging to map the body's surface, including skin markings and moles. During one assessment, the system identified and documented 1,596 individual skin features, creating a digital baseline that can support year-to-year monitoring.
A Broad Health Snapshot in One Visit
Neko's programme also includes testing for around 50 blood biomarkers, four-point blood pressure readings, a 12-lead ECG, body composition measurements, grip strength and eye-pressure screening. Circulation is assessed through technologies that examine both major blood vessels and microcirculation in the feet.
Results are reviewed with a doctor during the same appointment and then organised in a digital app, where users can revisit their health profile and action plan. The service is designed to complement regular primary care, rather than replace it.
The company says more than 100,000 people have completed its scans since its 2023 launch in Sweden. Following the Soho opening, Neko plans to expand to additional US locations, including Miami, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco. A scan costs $499.
Technology Meets Long-Term Care
Its most distinctive element is the high-resolution body and mole mapping, which can help make physical changes easier to track over time. More established tests, such as blood panels and ECG readings, add familiar clinical context to the broader assessment.
By bringing multiple measurements into one streamlined experience, Neko reflects a growing shift toward personalised preventive health. As these platforms evolve alongside ongoing medical care, they could help people build clearer, more proactive relationships with their long-term wellbeing.
