Monday.com reshapes its business around AI

Work management platform Monday.com is streamlining its organization as it deepens its investment in artificial intelligence. The company plans to cut about 20% of its workforce, or roughly 630 roles, as part of a broader move toward a leaner operating model.

The restructuring is centered on the company's AI Work Platform, which has become a core part of its product vision. That platform combines a no-code app builder, customizable AI agents, workflow automation, and a chatbot designed to help teams generate reports and update dashboards more efficiently.

Earlier this year, Monday.com accelerated its shift toward AI by redesigning its product strategy around the idea that enterprise teams will increasingly use intelligent tools alongside human employees. The company says the new structure is intended to support faster innovation and a more focused roadmap.

Monday.com expects restructuring charges of $45 million to $55 million. The move reflects a wider trend across the tech sector, where companies are reorganizing around AI capabilities and automation as they redefine how digital work gets done.

This transition suggests a future in which AI-driven platforms become central to everyday business operations.
