Meta's Pocket App Brings AI-Generated Mini Games Into a New Feed

Meta's Pocket app lets users create and explore AI-generated mini games and interactive apps, expanding the company's vision for simple, prompt-based creation.

Meta's Pocket App Brings AI-Generated Mini Games Into a New Feed

Meta has introduced Pocket, a new app designed to let users build and explore small interactive games and apps with AI prompts. The platform is presented as a creative space for making and sharing "gizmos," Meta's term for these lightweight experiences.

The app appears to build on the foundation of Gizmo, the vibe-coded gaming platform Meta acquired earlier this year. Pocket includes a scrollable discovery feed, allowing people to try creations made by others and move between interactive experiences in a social-style format.

A familiar idea, expanded for broader use

App intelligence data suggests Pocket first appeared on the App Store and Google Play on June 29, 2026, while its public launch was spotted by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi. Meta has not yet made an official announcement about the release, which points to an early testing phase.

Pocket also fits into Meta's wider push to make AI creation tools easier to use. The company has already added generative features across its platforms, including AI images in the Meta AI app, AI videos through Vibes, and new tools in its Edits app for creators.

With Pocket, Meta is moving AI from passive content generation toward interactive play and lightweight creation. If the platform grows, it could help shape a future where building games becomes as simple as writing a prompt.
