Meta has unveiled Muse Code, a beta AI coding agent designed to support developers working across large software repositories. The tool is built to help with complex engineering workflows, from planning updates to writing code and checking results.
According to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Muse Code is capable of handling end-to-end software tasks on sizable code bases. The system is powered by the company's earlier coding model, Muse Spark, and can launch multiple sub-agents to work in parallel on separate parts of a project.
Parallel workflow for bigger builds
Meta says the agent is structured to split larger assignments into isolated worktrees, allowing several tasks to move forward at the same time without interfering with the main working copy. In internal testing, the company says it used the system to build several game features simultaneously.
The launch places Meta in closer competition with other AI coding tools in the market, while also highlighting a cost-focused approach for developers and teams looking for efficient assistance at scale.
