This investment is part of an impressive $800,000 pre-seed funding round that also saw participation from notable entities such as a16z's scout fund, Sequoia Scout Fund, and Nordic Makers.

According to Gustav Hugod, Atech's head of customer experience, the platform simplifies the hardware creation process. Users begin by purchasing a starter kit for their project from Atech's website. They then engage with an AI chatbot, where they can articulate their hardware ideas. The AI subsequently generates the necessary code to facilitate the development of a functional prototype. Hugod noted that Atech's diverse user base ranges from young children constructing toy cars to advanced projects like hydrogen synthesis plants that require meticulous voltage regulation.

Traditionally, creating hardware prototypes demanded extensive experience or the hiring of skilled engineers, which often comes at a high cost. However, Hugod emphasized that as software accessibility has improved dramatically, the barriers to hardware development will similarly diminish. "In a democratized world, hardware must be accessible to everyone," he stated. The fresh capital from this funding round will be allocated towards research and development, marketing efforts, and expanding their team.
