Since its inception in 2013, the LA Art Book Fair (LAABF) has served as a vibrant platform for artists' book publishers to showcase their work, connect with diverse audiences, and foster both new and enduring relationships. This year, the event will take place at the ArtCenter South Campus in Pasadena from May 7 to 10, emphasizing its commitment to educational opportunities within the arts.

The 2026 edition will feature 250 exhibitors, alongside well-established programs such as a series of engaging talks and panels in The Classroom, live music and performances on The Stage, and a collection of unique presentations known as Project Spaces. Notable highlights of this year's Project Spaces include innovative installations and artist book presentations from Archivos Desviados, Bread & Puppet Press, Chicano in Print, Getty, Marta, Ooga Booga + Emily's Sassy Lime, Three Star Books, and Werkplaats Typografie. Additionally, workshops led by Riso Studio Arts and the newly launched exhibition, The Reading Room, will enhance the fair's offerings.

The Opening Night celebration, scheduled for Thursday, May 7, from 6 to 9 PM, is organized in collaboration with Orange Radio & Homebody. This festive evening will feature live performances by sonrisita and Mia Carucci. The first 500 attendees will receive a limited edition ticket designed by LA-based artist Amia Yokoyama, granting them access to the fair throughout the weekend. Moreover, a special collaborative artist edition by Deanna Templeton and Ed Templeton will debut at the fair, available from Opening Night.

Attendees are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance to ensure their participation in this exciting event.
