Katie Holmes' latest project is drawing attention both on screen and in the art world. The actor, writer, and director premiered Happy Hours at the Tribeca Film Festival, where she also appears to have met New York-based artist Jason Bard Yarmosky.
Yarmosky took part in the 2026 Tribeca Festival Artist Awards Program, a Chanel-supported initiative that pairs visual artists with winning filmmakers. The program brought together a notable group of creators, including Brendan Fernandes, Bony Ramirez, Hank Willis Thomas, and Carrie Mae Weems. Yarmosky was matched with filmmaker Miiku Sakanishi, who received one of his drawings.
Beyond the festival, Yarmosky has built a strong presence in contemporary art. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, he has presented solo and group exhibitions in major venues, including Guild Hall in East Hampton, the Jewish Museum in Vienna, the Brooklyn Museum, and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. His recent exhibition, Time Has Many Faces, focused on stylized portraits of his late grandparents, a theme that has shaped much of his work over the past decade.
Holmes and Yarmosky were later seen together at a screening in East Hampton, adding a personal dimension to a meeting that began in a creative setting. Their connection reflects how film festivals increasingly serve as crossroads for cinema, visual art, and cultural exchange. It also highlights how artistic communities continue to inspire new collaborations and relationships, shaping the creative landscape of the future.
