Join Us for the Chicago Premiere of 'Paint Me a Road Out of Here'

Experience the Chicago premiere of the documentary 'Paint Me a Road Out of Here' on March 25, featuring a discussion with key participants. Free admission, limited seating.

We are excited to announce the Chicago premiere of Paint Me a Road Out of Here, an acclaimed documentary from Aubin Pictures, directed by Catherine Gund.

In collaboration with the Intuit Art Museum and the Women's and Gender Studies Department at DePaul University, Colossal is proud to co-host a screening of this remarkable film on March 25. This event will also feature a discussion with film participant Leah Faria and our editorial director, Grace Ebert. Attendance is free, but seating is limited, so be sure to arrive early.

Paint Me a Road Out of Here showcases the talents of artists Faith Ringgold and Mary Enoch Elizabeth Baxter, revealing the often overlooked history of Ringgold's iconic work, "For the Women's House," which has traveled from Rikers Island jail to the Brooklyn Museum over the past 50 years.

This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with inspiring art and stories. We encourage you to join us!
