Halloween season is set to take on an art-focused twist in Brooklyn as Hyperallergic hosts a festive community gathering on Wednesday, October 28.
The event will bring together the publication's members, contributors, and creative community at Oberon, a queer-friendly cultural venue in Brooklyn. Guests can enjoy themed refreshments and snacks while celebrating the imaginative spirit of the season.
Costumes Meet Creative Expression
A central highlight of the evening will be the Costume Competition, inviting attendees to reinterpret artists, artworks, and Halloween icons through original looks. The competition will be judged by Hyperallergic co-founder Hrag Vartanian alongside guest judges.
Tickets are available at $40 and include access to the open bar. Hyperallergic members can attend at a reduced rate of $20.
By blending costume design, visual art, and social connection, the event reflects how cultural gatherings can create new spaces for creative exchange and community-driven experiences.
