For enthusiasts of Apple technology, two major events are anticipated each year, and the first for 2026 is just around the corner. In a little over a week, Apple will virtually unveil an array of new features and services for its devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches--especially focusing on advancements in artificial intelligence. While new hardware is not expected, software updates will take center stage at this year's WWDC.

If you're excited about speculating on what Apple might reveal, you're in luck! Lifehacker, along with other CNET Group platforms, is hosting a Big Guessing Game where participants can predict announcements for a chance to win a new Apple Watch. This interactive event includes three rounds, with the first currently underway. Best of luck to all participants!

What is WWDC?

WWDC, or Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference, is a week-long event designed for developers to collaborate, engage in workshops, and learn about creating applications for Apple's ecosystem. While the keynote presentation garners the most attention, the conference also features the "Platforms State of the Union," hands-on labs, and over 100 informative sessions. For the general audience, the keynote serves as the highlight, showcasing the next generation of software updates. This year, attendees can look forward to the launch of the "27 era," which includes updates like iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27.

When is WWDC?

For two decades, Apple has consistently held WWDC in June, and this year follows that tradition. The conference kicks off on Monday, June 8, and runs through Friday, June 12. The keynote presentation will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET).

How to Watch WWDC 2026

While a select group of developers and media will be invited to attend the keynote live in California, the global audience can enjoy the event from home. Apple will stream the keynote live on its official website and YouTube channel, making it accessible to everyone.

As we look forward to the innovations that WWDC 2026 will bring, it's clear that these advancements will not only enhance user experiences but also shape the future landscape of technology.
