Honeyjar is developing AI tools designed to make strategic communications expertise more accessible to companies and individuals. Co-founded by communications professionals Michelle Masek and Nadia Jamshidi, the startup aims to support the work of both dedicated PR teams and people who handle communications alongside other roles.
From media research to strategy
The platform can help draft announcements, identify journalists, build media lists, monitor news and social channels, track coverage and find speaking opportunities. Its broader goal is to bring research, context, planning and execution together in one communications workflow.
Honeyjar is intended for a wide range of users, including founders, marketers, investors, authors and other professionals. Masek said the company's waitlist drew 10,000 signups in its first 24 hours. Beta testers include Nextdoor, Coco Robotics, Bloomberg Beta, Mission North and Full Picture.
The tool can prepare pitches and social posts, but users remain responsible for sending or publishing them. The founders are also working through the Comms Lab initiative to incorporate experienced PR professionals' judgment into the product, including guidance on when a company may not yet be ready for media outreach.
By combining AI assistance with human decision-making, Honeyjar could make communications planning more accessible and purposeful as teams adapt to new tools.
