Legal AI startup Harvey has secured $550 million in fresh funding, lifting its valuation to $15.5 billion, according to the company's latest announcement. The round was co-led by Diffusion and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
The new milestone comes only months after Harvey was valued at $11 billion in March, following a $200 million raise. Before that, the company had already reached an $8 billion valuation in December, underscoring the rapid pace of investor confidence around AI tools for professional services.
With this latest round, Harvey says it has raised more than $1.55 billion in total funding. The company has completed multiple priced rounds since 2023, reflecting sustained momentum as it expands its platform for legal teams.
Harvey also recently introduced its first in-house model, Harvey Tenet, built on an open-weight model and trained with legal data. The company is also encouraging customers to adapt and train their own open-weight models, signaling a broader shift toward specialized AI systems tailored to industry needs.
This trajectory highlights how legal technology is evolving from support software into a more intelligent, customizable layer for modern work, with potential to reshape professional services in the years ahead.
