Google has introduced a special-edition Fitbit Air designed to connect with Pokémon Sleep, bringing a playful new layer to everyday wellness tracking. The launch arrives as Pokémon marks its 30th anniversary, adding extra momentum to the crossover.
Pokémon Sleep, released in 2023, turns bedtime into an interactive experience. Users are rewarded for sleeping on time, while sleep duration and quality shape progress in the game. The familiar Snorlax remains at the center of the experience, growing stronger as users rest consistently.
The new Fitbit Air edition syncs with both the Google Health app and Pokémon Sleep. That means users can monitor daily movement, heart rate, and cardio load, then track sleep patterns overnight through the same device. The result is a smoother bridge between health data and game-based motivation.
Pokémon Sleep already supports several wearables, including Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, Google Pixel Watch, and other Fitbit models. It can also be used without a smartwatch, making the experience accessible to a wide range of users.
Google says the special edition will be available for preorder at $129 and begin shipping on September 15. It will be sold through the Google Store and Target. The standard Fitbit Air, launched in May, starts at $99 and includes a slimmer design, upgraded health tracking, and an AI-powered coach for personalized guidance.
