Google has introduced a new migration experience designed to make moving from iPhone to Android smoother and more intuitive. Built directly into Android 17, the feature allows users to transfer more data wirelessly without installing a separate app.
The update focuses on reducing friction during setup, helping users bring over key information with less effort. Supported items now include photos, videos, contacts, messages, calendars, Google Account details, passwords, Wi‑Fi credentials, and even eSIM data.
The rollout has already begun on selected Pixel devices and is also available on the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 models. Google says the feature will expand to more Android devices in the near future.
As smartphone ecosystems become more connected, this kind of seamless transfer could shape a more flexible and user-friendly mobile future.
