Google Finance launches dedicated Android app with AI-powered market insights

Google has introduced a standalone Google Finance app for Android, bringing watchlists, live market data, financial headlines, and its AI-driven Key Moments feature into one mobile experience. The tool is designed to help users quickly understand why stocks are moving.

The company says an iOS version will follow in the coming months. It also plans to expand the app with features such as live earnings call listening, adding more depth for users who track markets on the go.

Beyond the mobile launch, Google is moving its upgraded web version of Google Finance out of beta. The refreshed experience now includes global portfolio support, giving users a single dashboard to follow holdings and performance. Existing portfolios will appear automatically, while new ones can be created by uploading files or describing investments to the chatbot.

Google is also extending its AI research tools, allowing users to ask portfolio-specific questions and generate tailored briefings or performance summaries. With task-based prompts, the platform can continue working in the background and deliver timely insights as market conditions change.

By combining finance tracking with conversational AI, Google is positioning its service as a smarter, more personalized market companion. The move signals a future where financial information becomes more interactive, adaptive, and accessible across devices.
