Google Announces Dates for I/O 2026

Google I/O 2026 is set for May 19-20, featuring AI advancements and product updates. The event will take place in Mountain View and online, with registration now open.

Exciting news for developers and tech enthusiasts: Google I/O 2026 is officially scheduled for May 19th and 20th. In a recent announcement, the company revealed that it will showcase the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and updates across its product line, including Gemini and Android. The event will be held in person at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, as well as online.

As in previous editions, Google I/O 2026 will feature keynotes from prominent company leaders, engaging fireside chats, and live product demonstrations. While the complete agenda is yet to be released, the event will kick off with a keynote address on the morning of May 19th. Additionally, attendees can participate in a unique "save the date experience" on Google's website, which includes a series of mini-games created using the company's Gemini AI model.

Last year's I/O event was packed with AI-related announcements, such as the expansion of AI Mode for Google Search and the introduction of the AI filmmaking app, Flow. This year promises to be similarly focused on AI, with further developments in Gemini and enhancements across Google's search engine, Chrome, Workspace applications, and Pixel devices.

Developers interested in attending can register for Google I/O 2026 starting today.
