Founders Fund has brought Ryan Beiermeister on board as a partner, adding a seasoned operator with deep experience across AI and frontier tech. Beiermeister previously served as VP of Product Policy at OpenAI, where she worked during a period of rapid growth for ChatGPT.
Her background also includes time at Palantir and Meta, giving her a broad view of how advanced software, data systems, and product policy intersect. At Founders Fund, she says her focus will be on startups building in areas where technical complexity is high and long-term impact is significant.
In a recent post, Beiermeister highlighted the firm's interest in AI infrastructure, agentic systems, defense, energy, climate, biotech, and regulated technologies. She also said she is especially open to hearing from founders who are building outside the traditional mold.
