Flipper Devices Unveils Busy Bar, a Customizable Productivity Display

Flipper Devices launches Busy Bar, a customizable LED productivity display with timers, smart home support, and app integrations for focused work.

Flipper Devices, the London-based maker known for Flipper Zero, is taking a new step into everyday productivity with Busy Bar, a customizable desktop display designed to help users manage focus, status, and routines.

The device features a 72×16 LED matrix with up to 400 nits of brightness, support for 16 million colors, and automatic brightness adjustment. Around the back, a monochrome screen shows battery, timer, connectivity, and status details, while a side speaker handles custom sounds and notifications.

Busy Bar also includes a mode switch, start/stop controls, a scroll wheel, and connectivity through Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and USB. Its 3250 mAh battery is rated for up to eight hours of active use or two weeks in standby, and a 15W adapter can recharge it in about an hour.

Built for modern work habits, the device can display messages that signal when someone is focused, in a meeting, or running a timed work session. It supports Pomodoro-style blocks and connects with iOS, Android, and macOS apps, with Windows support planned. On macOS, it can detect calls or recording sessions and adjust notifications automatically.

The bar is also Matter-certified, allowing it to fit into smart home setups across Amazon, Apple, and Google ecosystems. For developers, Flipper Devices offers open firmware, HTTP API access, MQTT support, and Python and TypeScript libraries for building custom widgets and automations.

Early buyers will be able to get the device for $199, while the standard price is set at $249. Shipping is scheduled to begin on July 14 in the US, EU, UK, and Canada. With its mix of design, automation, and focus tools, Busy Bar points toward a future where personal devices become more adaptive to how people work and live.
