Fitbit co-founders James Park and Eric Friedman have unveiled Luffu Link, a new LTE-enabled wearable designed to bring health tracking and family support into a single, discreet band. The device is built to monitor both physical and mental well-being while keeping trusted contacts connected, even without a phone nearby.
Priced at $250 for pre-order, Luffu Link is scheduled to begin shipping in early 2027. The band will launch in three finishes: halo gold, onyx black, and sterling blue.
The product expands Luffu's broader vision for an intelligent family care system and works alongside the company's health app, which uses AI to organize family information, learn daily routines, and highlight meaningful changes over time.
Users can press the band to record voice updates about medication, symptoms, meals, mood, or reminders. The app then turns those notes into a clearer picture of daily life. In the background, the wearable also tracks activity, sleep, resting heart rate, calories burned, heart-rate variability, and breathing rate to identify patterns and deliver personalized insights.
Park says the goal is not to overwhelm users with dashboards, but to answer practical questions such as what changed and whether it matters. The band also includes GPS-based location awareness, quick check-ins, and LTE-powered help requests without requiring a separate carrier plan.
Designed with a jewelry-inspired look, Luffu Link aims to stay in the background while supporting everyday independence. The company is also developing a home device to extend the same care-focused experience indoors. As wearable tech becomes more intuitive, products like this could shape a more connected and proactive future for family wellness.
