Eater is bringing back Off Menu for its second year, turning Los Angeles into a showcase for the flavors shaping today's dining scene. The event is designed as a one-night celebration of emerging food and drink trends, with a lineup that reflects how chefs are reimagining familiar dishes and formats.
Among the featured tastings are steakhouse-inspired creations from Pasjoli, mariscos from Holbox, cocktails from Thunderbolt and Night on Earth, and a standout sheet cake from Quarter Sheets. The program also includes a Caribbean dish by chef Gregory Gourdet of Kann, ricotta pancakes from Café Telegrama, and British-style plates from Dean's.
The event will take place at the historic Tam O'Shanter, where guests can move through the restaurant's rooms, patios, garden, and atrium. In one section, Cathay Pacific will curate an Asia-focused experience with yakitori from Sumibiyakitori Kidori, Peking duck from Ji Rong, and champagne service.
Scheduled for Saturday, September 19 at 6 p.m., tickets begin at $125 and include access to the food and drinks throughout the evening. All ticket proceeds will support World Central Kitchen. The event highlights how culinary gatherings are evolving into immersive cultural experiences that connect taste, place, and purpose, with a future shaped by more creative and community-driven dining formats.
