Disney is updating prices across Disney+ and Hulu, reflecting the streaming industry's continued shift toward sustainable, feature-rich subscription models.
Updated plans and bundles
The ad-free Disney+ and Hulu bundle will move from $19.99 to $21.99 per month. Individual ad-free subscriptions for Disney+ and Hulu are set to reach $21.49 monthly, while standalone ad-supported plans will cost $12.49 per month.
Disney+ launched in 2019 with a $6.99 monthly entry price. The service has since expanded its content library, advertising options and bundled offerings as streaming becomes a larger part of the company's entertainment portfolio.
Streaming strategy expands beyond subscriptions
Disney's entertainment streaming revenue from Disney+ and Hulu rose 11% to $5.5 billion in the third quarter of 2026, supported by subscriber growth and earlier pricing changes.
The company is also developing new ways to broaden the viewing experience. Disney+ recently introduced Playlists, which group curated programming into continuous viewing selections designed to simplify discovery.
Disney has additionally explored a potential free access tier, a model that could extend its reach among audiences seeking ad-supported viewing. On the technology side, the company appointed Karandeep Anand as its first chief technology officer, signaling a stronger focus on platform innovation and digital experiences.
As services refine pricing, discovery tools and access models, streaming is likely to become more personalized, flexible and closely integrated with evolving audience habits.
