Initially, I approached Hyrox with a blend of skepticism and indifference, similar to my feelings about other fitness trends like CrossFit or Tough Mudder.

Having now completed a Hyrox race, I can confidently say that my perspective has shifted. Even if I never compete again, I will certainly continue to participate in Hyrox-style workouts. Here's why these classes are worthwhile, even if competition isn't on your agenda.

Hyrox training, along with its associated group classes, doesn't require prior knowledge of the race. Instead, these classes focus on familiar movements and conditioning techniques, all delivered in an engaging group setting.

What to Expect in a Hyrox Workout

The official race features eight workout stations, including ski erg, sled pushes and pulls, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. While class content may vary based on gym resources, the Hyrox framework effectively targets strength, endurance, and coordination.

During my experience with F45 Hyrox classes, we engaged in interval training designed to elevate heart rates and challenge muscles, combining the advantages of traditional cardio and strength training.
