Dimension Capital has closed a new $800 million fund, marking a major step up from its previous vehicle and underscoring growing investor confidence in companies built where science and computing meet.
Founded in 2022 in New York, the firm was created by Zavian Dar, Adam Goulburn and Nan Li with a clear thesis: the next wave of innovation would emerge from the overlap of biotech, software and advanced AI. That view is now gaining traction faster than expected.
The firm has already backed a range of high-profile startups. In 2024, it co-led a $30 million seed round for Chai Discovery, a company developing open-source AI foundation models for drug development. Chai later announced a $400 million financing at a $3.8 billion valuation. Dimension also supported New Limit, an anti-aging startup that has since reached a $3.1 billion valuation after its Series C.
Other investments include Modal Labs and Anthropic, reflecting Dimension's focus on infrastructure and frontier AI. The firm also received shares in Anthropic after the company acquired portfolio startup Coefficient Bio, a drug-discovery platform.
With its latest fund, Dimension Capital is positioning itself to keep backing founders working at the edge of life sciences, AI and compute. The broader signal is clear: deep-tech investing is moving from niche thesis to mainstream momentum, shaping the next generation of scientific tools and platforms.
