David Bowie: A New Immersive Experience Set to Launch in London This April

Experience the magic of David Bowie in a new immersive exhibition launching in London this April, showcasing rare footage and artistic expressions of the iconic star.

The fascination with David Bowie continues to thrive in the UK. Following the global success of the exhibition "David Bowie Is," which explored the life, music, and artistry of the legendary pop star, the V&A Museum has introduced the David Bowie Centre. This permanent installation showcases a selection of objects from Bowie's extensive 90,000-item archive, located in a new storage facility in East London.

On April 22, a new immersive exhibition titled "David Bowie: You're Not Alone" will debut at Lightroom, an innovative venue for immersive experiences near Kings Cross Station in London.

Curated by Mark Grimmer, who also directed "David Bowie Is," this exhibition promises to be a captivating journey. Attendees can expect to see performance footage, interviews, film clips, drawings, and various visual elements projected onto the venue's impressive nearly 40-foot-tall walls and floor.

Among the highlights of "You're Not Alone" is rare footage of Bowie performing "Heroes" at Earl's Court in London in 1978. Grimmer revealed that previously unseen camera angles of this iconic performance were discovered in Bowie's archives, describing it as a "holy grail" for fans. He emphasized the exceptional quality of the material, stating, "We just had to get out of the way and let the performance speak for itself."

The immersive experience is designed to last about an hour, with adult tickets priced around $34. Tickets are currently available for purchase through June 28, with additional dates expected to be announced soon.
