A more substantial handheld grip at a lower price
The CRKD Nitro Deck, in its Renegade Raider Fortnite Edition, is currently listed at $34.99 on Woot, down from $79.99. That's a saving of $45, or about 56%. The offer is expected to run for roughly a week, but availability may end sooner if stock sells out. Shipping is free for Prime members and $6 for other customers.
Rather than replacing the Switch's Joy-Cons with separate controllers, the Nitro Deck is a fitted shell that the console slides into. Its fuller grips, full-size sticks, longer-travel triggers and four customizable rear buttons are designed to make handheld play feel closer to using a conventional controller. Motion controls, rumble and USB-C passthrough for charging or video output are also included.
The larger build has trade-offs: it adds bulk, prevents detaching the controllers, and offers limited flexibility in its kickstand. The right stick may also feel awkward for extended aiming or camera control. For players who mainly use their Switch in handheld mode, the Nitro Deck offers a more substantial grip and drift-resistant sticks; accessories like this may give players more ways to tailor the feel of portable gaming.
