With over 60,000 submissions from talented photographers worldwide, the judges of the 2025 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition faced a challenging task. They have curated a selection of 100 stunning images that capture compelling narratives and showcase a variety of species across different habitats, some of which are significantly affected by human influence. Now, 24 photographers are in the running for the coveted People's Choice Award, and voting is open until March 18. Among the contenders are heartwarming shots of a baby sloth, polar bears basking in the sun, and young kestrels preparing for flight.
Besides voting, don't miss the opportunity to explore the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at London's Natural History Museum, which runs until July 12. Photographers eager to participate in the 2026 competition can submit their entries until December 4.
