Beni, an all-terrain camera robot developed by Mondo Robotics, is designed to capture action footage without a camera operator. It records in 4K and can autonomously follow a subject, track them from the side or move in a circle around them.
Users can adjust its movements through an app or remote control. Its wheels are built to handle surfaces such as grass, dirt and uneven concrete, while obstacle detection and a self-righting design help it keep moving after bumps or a fall.
The robot also includes interactive touches, such as responding to gestures and performing small tricks. The base model was listed at $750, with an Explore Combo priced at $899 and including larger wheels and a charging stand.
By combining mobile robotics with automated camera control, Beni points toward a future in which capturing dynamic footage could become simpler and more accessible.
