Aspen Art Fair Unveils 2026 Exhibitor Lineup at Hotel Jerome

The Aspen Art Fair will return in 2026 with over 35 exhibitors at Hotel Jerome, featuring new outdoor installations and a focus on community engagement and artistic programming.

The Aspen Art Fair is set to return to the iconic Hotel Jerome from July 29 to August 1, showcasing over 35 exhibitors for its third edition. This boutique fair continues to establish a unique identity during Aspen Art Week, focusing on intimate interactions between artists and collectors.

For the first time, the event will be directed by Kelly Cornell, who also leads the Dallas Art Fair. Her leadership aims to foster connections between the two fairs while preserving the personal atmosphere that defines Aspen's event. Co-founder Bob Chase emphasizes that the fair's smaller scale is central to its appeal, enabling deeper conversations and a more engaging experience.

Chase notes, "The Hotel Jerome is one of the most storied and intimate locations in Aspen, integral to the fair's character." This year, nearly 90 galleries expressed interest in participating, although the fair operates on an invitation-only basis. Consequently, several booths were expanded to accommodate returning exhibitors, maintaining a curated selection of galleries.

This year's roster features newcomers like Albertz Benda, Friedman Benda, and Library Street Collective, alongside returning names such as Marianne Boesky Gallery and Perrotin. Local galleries, including Hexton Gallery, further solidify the fair's connection to the Aspen community while welcoming a diverse international presence.

A new addition for 2026 is an outdoor sculpture garden, extending the exhibition space beyond the hotel. This initiative reflects the interests of Aspen collectors, many of whom appreciate large-scale outdoor installations. Chase expresses excitement about activating the hotel's outdoor space, enhancing the interaction between art and Aspen's stunning natural scenery.

The fair's commitment to artistic growth is evident in its expanded programming. Its Art Prize Program offers residency and commissioning opportunities through collaborations with institutions like Anderson Ranch Arts Center. This year's fair will also align with the second iteration of the AIR festival, organized by the Aspen Art Museum, featuring notable artists such as Lucy Raven and Matthew Barney.

Additionally, the Aspen Education Foundation is partnering with the fair to support the IB Art Program in the local school district. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit this initiative, and selected student artists will showcase their work at the fair, fostering the next generation of creatives.

These developments indicate a fair dedicated to enriching its programming and expanding its collector base while remaining true to its foundational values. The 2026 Aspen Art Fair promises to be a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and community.
