Artissima to Host 180 Galleries From 35 Countries in Turin This Fall

Turin's Artissima is preparing for its 33rd edition, bringing together 180 galleries from 35 countries at the Oval, the former Olympic speed skating venue that has hosted the fair since 2010.

Director Luigi Fassi returns for a fifth consecutive year, shaping the fair around a clear curatorial structure that highlights both established names and fresh voices in contemporary art.

Curated Sections, Global Reach

This year's lineup is organized into several focused sections. New Entries introduces first-time participants, including a group of emerging galleries. Monologue/Dialogue centers on experimental presentations by one or two artists, while Art Editions showcases nonprofit projects dedicated to prints and multiples.

The fair also continues with Present Future, a section devoted to emerging artists, and Back to the Future, which spotlights pioneering figures in contemporary art. Disegni adds monographic booths focused on drawing, reinforcing the fair's interest in artistic process and format.

Among the exhibitors are galleries from major art hubs such as London, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Tokyo, São Paulo, Istanbul, and New York, reflecting Artissima's wide international network and its role as a meeting point for contemporary art conversations.

By combining new talent, experimental formats, and established perspectives, Artissima continues to position Turin as a dynamic destination for the global art calendar. The fair's evolving structure may help shape how future art events balance discovery, dialogue, and international exchange.
