The Armory Show is preparing for its 2026 edition with a new calendar window and a broad international lineup. The New York fair will take place at the Javits Center from September 24 to 27, shifting later in the month than its recent post-Labor Day slot.
The date adjustment is designed to reduce overlap with other major September art fairs under the Frieze umbrella. Frieze Seoul will remain in early September, while the Armory Show's new timing creates a more balanced rhythm across the season.
Organizers say the fair will feature around 230 galleries, keeping the scale close to its 2025 edition. The floor plan will also be updated: the south entrance will highlight international galleries, while the north side will emphasize U.S.-based participants, including a strong New York presence.
Among the confirmed exhibitors are Victoria Miro, Perrotin, Templon, Mennour, Nara Roesler, Sean Kelly, Alison Jacques, and Michael Rosenfeld Gallery. The fair will also expand its curated sections, with Platform and Focus both centered on artists connected to the Caribbean.
Platform will be curated by Jovanna Venegas of SculptureCenter, while Focus will be led by María Elena Ortiz of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Their selections will spotlight large-scale works, solo presentations, and two-artist booths that reflect cultural exchange across the region.
Additional sections are also growing. Presents, dedicated to young galleries, will include 55 exhibitors, while Solo will feature 25 single-artist presentations. Nonprofit spaces such as El Museo del Barrio and Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop will also take part, adding a community-driven layer to the fair.
With its expanded curatorial vision and global gallery mix, the 2026 Armory Show is positioned to remain a key meeting point for contemporary art in New York, shaping how the fair season evolves in the years ahead.
