Early beta signs point to smoother experiences

Developer beta testers have reported that the first builds can already feel more fluid on both iPhone and Mac. Some users describe faster app launches, cleaner animations, and fewer stutters on macOS 27, while iOS 27 appears to run more efficiently for select devices after the initial indexing phase. As with any early beta, results vary, and the software is still unfinished.

Apple's performance focus is especially notable because it extends beyond its newest hardware. The company says the update includes CPU scheduler improvements and system-level optimizations that can benefit supported older devices as well. iPhone 11-era models, for example, may see a more responsive daily experience, while some M1 Macs could also gain extra smoothness.
