Amazon Launches Sleeker Fire TV Stick HD and Ember Artline TVs for Preorder

On Wednesday, Amazon introduced its latest innovations: the Fire TV Stick HD and the Ember Artline televisions, both now available for preorder.

The new Fire TV Stick HD, which is 30% slimmer than its predecessor, represents Amazon's commitment to enhancing user experience in streaming. This device, set to launch in 2024, consolidates the previous Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite into a single entry-level option, simplifying choices for consumers.

Performance improvements are notable, with the new model boasting a 30% increase in speed for quicker app loading times. Enhanced connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring seamless streaming.

A standout capability of the Fire TV Stick HD is the integration of Alexa+, Amazon's AI assistant. This feature allows users in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. to utilize voice commands for obtaining information about actors, discovering new shows, and managing smart home devices.

Additionally, Amazon is rolling out an innovative "Adaptive Display" setting, which enhances accessibility by adjusting the visibility of text and menus, making navigation easier for all users. Customers can customize their viewing experience by selecting from various size options for text and menus. This feature is expected to be available in the coming months.

The Fire TV Stick HD is priced at $34.99 and will begin shipping on April 29 to locations including Canada, Mexico, the U.S., the U.K., Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

In tandem with the Fire TV Stick HD, Amazon has opened preorders for its Ember Artline televisions, designed to compete with Samsung's Frame TV. Unveiled at CES 2026, these TVs emphasize both aesthetics and functionality.

One of the unique aspects of the Ember Artline series is the option to choose from ten different magnetic frames in colors like Walnut, Ash, and Midnight Blue, allowing users to harmonize their television with their home decor.

Moreover, the Ember Artline features an AI component called "Match the Room," which assists users in selecting artwork that complements their TV's environment. With access to over 2,000 free art pieces and integration with Amazon Photos, users can personalize their viewing experience further.

Like the Fire TV Stick HD, the Ember Artline TVs utilize Alexa+ for voice-activated content searches and playback controls.

This month, Amazon is also launching a feature that simplifies content transfer between Fire TV devices, allowing users to move shows or sports games seamlessly. Initially available on Prime Video, this feature will expand to include more services over time.

With a sleek 1.5-inch profile, the Ember Artline televisions offer a 4K QLED display featuring HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. Available in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes, these TVs start at $899.99 and will begin shipping on April 22 in the U.S. and Canada, with subsequent releases in the U.K. and Germany.
