Apple AirPods Max 2 falls to $429 during October Prime Day, bringing adaptive audio, stronger noise cancellation and USB-C lossless listening to more buyers.

AirPods Max 2 Sees 22% Price Drop During October Prime Day

Apple's premium over-ear headphones, the AirPods Max 2, are available at a 22% discount during October Prime Day. The model's price has dropped from $549 to $429, representing a $120 reduction.

Premium audio with smarter listening features

Designed for Apple's ecosystem, AirPods Max 2 combine high-fidelity sound with advanced listening tools for travel, work and everyday entertainment. Apple says the headphones offer up to 1.5 times more Active Noise Cancellation than the original AirPods Max, helping users focus in busy environments.

The model also introduces Adaptive Audio, which automatically fine-tunes outside sound levels in Transparency mode. Its Conversation Awareness feature lowers playback when the wearer begins speaking, then restores audio after the conversation ends.

USB-C lossless listening and fast charging

With a USB-C connection, AirPods Max 2 can support lossless audio playback through compatible music services. The headphones provide up to 20 hours of listening with Active Noise Cancellation enabled, according to Apple. A five-minute charge can deliver approximately 90 minutes of playback.

Automatic switching between compatible Apple devices remains a central part of the experience. Users can move from an iPhone to a Mac or Apple TV with minimal interruption, making the headphones particularly practical for people who use several Apple products throughout the day.

As premium wireless audio devices become more adaptive and connected, features such as context-aware listening and seamless device integration may continue to shape how people experience sound across work, travel and home entertainment.
