Hardware startup Aina has introduced a smart ring designed to control AI agents and everyday apps. Called the AI Ring, it combines a small screen, joystick, microphone and speaker in a wearable device priced at $399.
Users can speak to AI agents, dictate notes, set reminders and capture ideas. The ring can also handle calls, display phone notifications and help control music, apps and smart-home devices, including Apple TV. Its joystick and gesture controls are designed to make navigating those functions easier.
Aina says the ring draws on experience building Mirage, a three-key controller for Mac apps. The company is positioning its new device as a hands-on interface for people who use multiple digital tools and AI services. Some software features are still being developed.
Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on Thursday at an early-bird price of $399, with shipments planned for January 2027. If the controls prove intuitive in daily use, devices like this could offer a more direct way to interact with AI agents beyond phones and computers.
