On February 22, activists from the Everyone Hates Elon campaign made a bold statement by installing a framed image of former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor at the Musée du Louvre. This photo, taken shortly after his recent arrest, aims to draw attention to the ongoing controversies surrounding the ex-prince.

Mountbatten-Windsor, who lost his royal title last October due to allegations linked to Jeffrey Epstein's trafficking network, was arrested on February 19. The charges stem from suspicions of misconduct in public office, following the release of new Epstein-related documents.

The accompanying text of the installation read, "He's Sweating Now," a reference to Mountbatten-Windsor's previous claim of being unable to perspire while he denied having any sexual involvement with Virginia Roberts Giuffre, Epstein's key accuser. Giuffre has recounted an evening in 2001, when she was just 17, where they danced at a London nightclub, suggesting that he indeed showed signs of sweating.

The former prince's arrest coincidentally occurred on his 66th birthday, amid allegations that he had shared sensitive information with Epstein during his tenure as the UK trade envoy. A photo captured by a journalist shows him in a police vehicle, appearing distressed with a pale complexion.

The Instagram post from the campaign declared, "Seeing a disgusting abuser FINALLY face a bit of justice? That's priceless," emphasizing their stance against wealthy individuals who believe they can evade accountability.

In another post, the campaign expressed frustration with affluent and powerful men, stating, "We're sick of obscenely rich, powerful men thinking they can just do as they please." The activists wanted to ensure that the world remembers Mountbatten-Windsor for his actions.

Known for their provocative guerrilla marketing tactics, Everyone Hates Elon has previously targeted billionaires like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, linking them to Epstein. Recently, they displayed a large photo of Donald Trump with Epstein in prominent locations, including Windsor Castle and the United States Capitol.

Some commentators highlighted the Louvre as an apt venue for this protest, noting that Giuffre's memoir, Nobody's Girl, begins with her memories of visiting the museum in 2021. As of now, the Louvre has not responded to requests for comments regarding the incident.
