After previously testing its predecessor, the Xteink X3, I was curious to see how the smaller model would perform while tackling a lengthy 900-page novel, Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry.
Despite its diminutive size, the X3 features a 3.7-inch screen that measures approximately 14% smaller than the X4. Surprisingly, I found the smaller device to be less intrusive while reading on the go. The experience remained enjoyable, with no significant drawbacks from the reduced screen space.

However, their charging methods differ: the X4 utilizes a standard USB-C cable, while the X3 requires a unique pogo pin cable. While the X4 is priced at $69, the X3 retails for $79, which may seem counterintuitive given the X4's advanced features. However, both devices are excellent options for those seeking a compact reading solution.
